After losing a large percentage of his retirement portfolio (twice!), Vince knew that the "buy and hold" method wasn't for him.
While he always had an interest in finance, he felt disheartened by the world of financial services and the "sales" aspect of it.
He dabbled in advisory services and a few trading classes, but none of it was really shaking out the way he hoped.
Fast forward to 2016, Vince, while skeptical, decides to go to a tastytrade meetup held by a few of tastytrade's fans.
He couldn't believe the content was free, and he gave it a shot. Trading through the 2016 election was difficult, but he's found a set of mechanics that work for him in his IRA.
Vince focuses on liquidity, trading small, trading spreads like verticals, iron condors and strangles and managing his winners at 50% of maximum profit.
Since starting, he's netted an average return of about 15%.
Tune in to see how Vince took control of his finances and discover how active investing has helped him feel empowered while not being a time-consuming endeavor. Plus, get his take on the sense of community he has found with like-minded tastytraders!
